Helen Laser
Hey there!
I'm Helen, and I'm a voice actor.
My voice can be described as "The Millennial Voice of Reason"—smooth, appealing, warm, articulate.
As an Audie Award Finalist and multiple Audiofile Earphones Award winner, I have been consistently working in New York City, but I've booked and recorded live sessions with clients all over the world, both remotely from home, and in-person.
My commercials have aired on TV, radio, and online/social media. You may have heard me in commercials for Tide, Advil, Annie's Homegrown, Dunkin Donuts, IHOP, and many more! My voice has been heard during the SuperBowl, on the radio, in films, exhibitions, and beyond.
I narrate for Audible Studios, Penguin Random House, Hachette, Simon and Schuster, Deyan, Podium, Tantor, Harper, Macmillan, Blackstone, Brilliance, Dreamscape and for a variety of clients in podcasts, e-learning, and more.
My narration has won awards, was picked by Reese Witherspoon for her book club, Read With Jenna/ The Today Show Book Club, and has made many lists including (but not limited to):
Audible's "Editors Picks," Apple Audiobooks "Must Listens," Libro.fm's "Most Pre-Ordered Audiobooks," Amazons "Top 10 Audiobooks," The New York Times "7 Audiobooks to Listen to Now," Lit Hub's "Best Audiobooks of July," The Wall Street Journal's "The 12 Best Audiobooks for Every Reader" and many more.
I co-host The GZM Morning Show (by Wondry).
Celebrity voice references include: Emma Stone, Awkwafina, Tina Fey, D'Arcy Carden, Rashida Jones, Jennifer Lawrence, Florence Pugh and Aubrey Plaza.
My home studio is broadcast quality:
-A custom-built booth (comparable to a Studiobricks Triple Wall)
-Sennheiser MK416
-Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series Neutrik XLR cables
with connectivity options including Source Connect, Phone Patch, Zoom, and Google Hangouts.
DAWs include Reaper, Audacity, Twisted Wave, and GarageBand. I regularly engineer my own sessions, and have Izotope RX8, among various other plugins.
